Shawn has over 20 years’ experience in Addictions and Mental Health Services specializing in Occupational Stress Injury with additional expertise in Trauma Related Disorders, Concurrent Disorders, Forensics and Family Therapy. He has worked with Military, Police, Fire and Paramedic services in multiple countries and has held leadership positions within the National Health Service (U.K.) and Alberta Health Services.
Shawn has also designed and written national and provincial policy, and has developed addiction, mental health, RTW, and trauma programming which has been implemented in the United Kingdom, Belgium, and Canada. He is very active within the academic, clinical, and charitable mental health communities and has been sought as a guest speaker for various media and conference events.
Jason completed his Master of Social Work degree at the University of British Columbia and is a Registered Clinical Social Worker with the Alberta College of Social Workers. Following the completion of his MSW he completed the required training and supervision to register as a Clinical Social Worker and is authorized to supervise and train professional social workers. Jason has been employed at the University of British Columbia where he taught sessional courses in Indigenous Health. Recently he completed a course from Cornell University and has become a certified trainer of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI).
Catherine is a licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT), and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT). She is passionate about mental health and working with adults to remove barriers to engagement in daily life.
Mavis is a licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT), and a member of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
Mariel is a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She is passionate about trauma work and cross-cultural counselling. She has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds who have experienced various levels of trauma. She is trained in EMDR and ART. Mariel has been providing services in English and Spanish in the community. She is aware of the challenges of doing counselling in a language other than your own, and she enjoys being able to provide this service in Spanish and working with people for whom English is not their first language.
Rod is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists and an expert in Occupational Stress Injury and Trauma related diagnoses. He has experience working with Uniformed Personnel, First Responders, their families and community professionals spanning two continents and has developed a depth of knowledge and insight into the universal and cross-cultural responses to significant traumatic events.
Kevin has worked with numerous Law Enforcement and Corrections organizations over the past 20 years, advising them on matters of Leadership, Change Management, Team Performance and Organizational Growth. Individually he is certified in a number of individual and organizational coaching methodologies including those which have been developed specifically by the military and Special Operations communities.
